You know what’s really struck me about the OPI Skyfall collection?  The fact that anything Bond-themed is typically male-oriented.  James Bond is a historically male-targeted franchise, so I give OPI a lot of credit for creating a collection that has  a greater potential to appeal to both sexes.

In addition, there are a lot of really interesting colors in this collection beyond the typical reds and pinks, and even the reds and pinks are a little different.  Its like they had some help from Q himself when designing these colors.  Very cool.

After checking out the lineup, I thought that Goldeneye was the coolest of the cool colors in this collection, mainly due to the metallic angle, and how close it is to a 24-karat gold color.

 Application Review and Rating

In terms of application, this color performed almost as well as the best OPIs I’ve tried in the past.  Two coats were required to get full opacity, which isn’t bad with a glitter like this.  I had a tiny bit of trouble getting the shade spread out to some of the corners of my nails, but that’s a minor complaint.

The only other complain I had was that cleanup with the acetone and chisel brush was a bit of a challenge, but once again, this is a minor, typical issue with glitters like this.

I can’t say enough how much I love the OPI pro-wide brush style.  They have some of the best brushes in the industry.

I’ll be giving away a bottle of Goldeneye sometime soon – I just need to think of an idea for the giveaway.  Let me know if you have any suggestions!
